• Public announcements will be made on GCPS Television, on the school system's web site  and via radio station WSB 750 AM or WSB TV Channel 2 beginning at 6:00. Cancellations usually are announced shortly after 6 a.m.
• If no announcement has been made pertaining to the cancellation or delay of school hours, school will be in session.
• Severe weather conditions also may necessitate early dismissal. Announcements will be made as stated above. Please DO NOT CALL the school as the telephone lines must be kept open.

Yes, students have access to many digital textbooks along with other learning resources in their My eCLASS Portal. 

Due to students with allergies, please do not send goodies, cupcakes, etc. to school for birthday celebrations. Birthday party invitations may not be given out at school unless everyone in the class receives one.

If your child needs to have medication while at school, a “Request for Medication” form needs to be completed. The medication must be delivered by an adult and in the original prescription bottle. Students may not bring medication to school on the bus! Please visit our clinic page for further information.

For emergency purposes we must have updated information for each student. Please notify the school if there is any change of address or phone numbers.

If your student needs to leave early, please pick him/her up before 2:15 p.m.

It is not necessary to call the school if your child will be absent. You may instead state the reason for your child’s absence via an email or note to your child’s teacher.

To be counted present for the whole day, students must attend for at least the equivalent of half the school day. This does not have to be continuous time.

No. Visitors are not allowed for breakfast.

Yes. However, due to space restrictions, visitors are scheduled for specific days according to the child's grade level. 

Monday: Pre-K, 4th Grade, and 5th Grade

Tuesday: Kindergarten and 3rd Grade

Wednesday: 1st Grade and 2nd Grade

Please note: All visitors must show a valid form of identification.

Fast food lunches do not follow our nutrition guidelines and are discouraged. Fast food may not be dropped off in the office for students.

You need to bring the following documents to enroll your child:

• An official document showing proof of birth date
• Proof that you live in attendance zone
• A valid Georgia certificate of immunization (GA Form #3231)
• Evidence of Vision, Hearing, Dental, and Nutrition Screening (GA Form #3300-Rev. 2013)
• A photo ID for the adult registering the child
• Proof of authorized person to enroll
• Child’s social security number (or you may sign a waiver at the school)
• Report cards or official school transcript (current K-12 student)
• Withdrawal form from previous school (current K-12 student)

First, go to the GCPS website to complete the online registration process. Then come to the school with all the necessary documentation to finish the registration process.

Bus schedule information is available through GCPS transportation.  Please contact GCPS transportation by phone (770-338-4722) or send an email.

Please send a note with your child in the morning. In the note, let us know how they are to leave i.e., bus, car, walk. 

If your child is going home with another student by bus, we need the name and address of the student with whom they are going home.
