Lunch with Parents

Join Your Child for Lunch!

We are excited to welcome parents back for lunch at McKendree starting after Labor Day! For the 2026–2027 school year, Lunch with Parents will take place on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Please find your child’s grade-level schedule below:

Mondays

  • PreK: 10:30 – 10:55

  • Kindergarten: 11:05 – 11:41

  • 3rd Grade: 12:10 – 12:50

Tuesdays

  • 4th Grade: 10:40 – 11:15

  • 2nd Grade: 11:25 – 12:05

  • 1st Grade: 11:50 – 12:30

  • 5th Grade: 12:25 – 12:55

Important Lunchroom Guidelines: To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, please keep these guidelines in mind:

  • Family Only: Parents may only eat lunch with their own children.

  • Meeting Location: Please wait for your child in the cafeteria. You will then move to the Parent Center or designated lunch area together.

  • Class Transitions: When lunch ends, students must rejoin their class promptly.

  • Instruction Time: To minimize distractions and keep learning on track, parents are not permitted to walk students back to their classrooms.

  • Exiting: Please exit through the main front doors when your lunch visit is complete.

  • PAYMENT: Our cafeteria is not able to process electronic payments for lunch. If you need to purchase a lunch, the cost is $4.75 per person. Cash only payment is required.
